1 box NOMU MiniMakes Chocolate Cake Batter Mix
2 large eggs
1/3 cup (80ml) oil
1/2 cup (125ml) milk
Chocolate Ganache:
2 x 80g slabs chocolate
1/2 cup (125ml) cream
Chopped flaked almonds, to decorate
Mix the MiniMakes Chocolate Cake Batter Mix following the instructions on the box.
Lightly grease 2 mini muffin pans. Fill the holes of one tray 3/4 full with batter. Invert the other tray on top of the filled one to create a DIY cake pop mould.
Place in the oven with an ovenproof bowl of water on top to secure in place. This will prevent the top pan from lifting when the pops rise. Bake for 15 minutes, then remove from the oven and allow to cool completely.
For the ganache, finely chop the chocolate and place in a heatproof bowl. Gently heat the cream until it just reaches a simmer and pour over the chocolate. Leave for 1-2 minutes to heat through, then stir to form a smooth, glossy ganache.
Dip the cooled pops in the chocolate ganache and place on a lined baking tray. Sprinkle over some chopped flaked almonds and place in the fridge to set.
